When Natasha Romanoff walked in to a big wig wizarding party, the last thing she expected to see was Clint Barton. She expected the odd familiar face from school, any kid who was a pure blood, but not a muggle born kid with a cockney accent. She didn't know why he was there at first, but when she found her mark, she knew why he was there.

Natasha sat at her table, in complete disguise as the mark came up, with Clint less than an arms length away at all times. This changed her plan, but not enough to make her worry. She would just have to be creative. Aside from Clint showing up, everything went as planned. Her target was across from her, making small talk, saying it was a shame that a woman so young is already a widow.

"The Ministry seems to think that I'm in danger, and have sent one of their rookies to follow me around. He's quite the stick in the mud."

Natasha feigned disinterest in looking at Clint as the subject came up, only casting a rolled glanced before returning her gaze back to her intended victim. "They wouldn't send just anyone to watch you though. Surely he must have some sort of skill. Right Mr...?"

She watched Clint, and he looked like he wasn't bothered but she deep down he was probably insulting everyone at the table inside his head. He cleared his throat and made eye contact with her for a brief moment before going back to scoping the room. "Barton. And yes, I have some skill."

They didn't address him again for some time until Natasha knew it was time to get the job over and done with. Natasha put on a pair of gloves she had in her purse and excused herself, saying she had a bit too much to drink. She pretended to stumble, catching herself on the arm of her mark. He forgave her and gave her hand a reassuring pat, not knowing that the gloves were covered in poison.

"Barton, go see how Ms Rushman is doing."

Clint went to take his order without thought and remembered why Rushman sounded familiar, it was an alias that Natasha used when they were teenagers and got in trouble during the holidays. As he walked down the hall, he wondered where she was now and if she was at least some form of happy.

He turned the corner and saw a red headed maid leave the bathroom and raised his voice. "Is Ms Rushman alright? I have to watc-"

Natasha turned around to face him. She was no longer in disguise, well, the maid costume was a disguise but she looked like how she was supposed to look. She didn't say anything, she just watched him work out the details himself, and figured that she had about two minutes before she had to clear out entirely.

"Couldn't come up with a new alias? And a widow? You're a little young for that." He scratched at his eyebrow as he took a step forward. He had his wand out for the whole night, but now he had it in his hand, ready for use.

She moved towards him, not giving away any expression on her face, except indifference. She didn't expect him to back up from her and she was correct in that assumption. He stayed where he was as she raised her hands to his face and pulled it close to hers. She leaned up to him and put her lips against his cheek for a soft kiss before whispering in his ear. "Don't touch the gloves."

He pulled away and saw that her hands were bare and realized the gloves she had on earlier must be in the bathroom. The same gloves that the man he was supposed to be watching had touched.

At that moment he heard shouting from the dining room and became distracted. He turned towards the sound stupidly, forgetting how close Natasha was to him. He realized his error when he felt the wind knocked out him when she hit him in the stomach. Clint stumbled backwards as he saw her take off down the hall.

Clint walked into his flat after a long day at the Auror office, it had been nothing but paperwork after an arrest gone bad. So when he walked in and saw Natasha sitting there, casually having a cup of tea, he groaned and wondered if his day just went from bad to worse.

"I told your landlady that I was an old classmate who was in a bit of a bad spot. And that you were helping me out and that I had lost my key on the way here after buying us dinner." She nodded her head at a bag of Chinese take out as she rolled the cup of tea between her hands.

"I at least waited outside of your apartment when I came to visit you." He threw his stuff on his living room sofa and walked over to the table to look at the take out bag. He started pulling Styrofoam containers out and opening each one to see if anything was suspicious.

Natasha chuckled as she leaned back in the chair she was sitting in. "Maybe that's why you're not the one who ended up in jail."

He rolled his eyes as he took out the last container and dropped it on the table. "You forgot the egg rolls. You still forget to order egg rolls? The key to a peace offering is bringing something I like. Like egg rolls."

She reached her hand under the table, pulling out another container and put it on the table in front of him. Natasha went back to her tea as he opened it up and grumbled something else about egg rolls. He sat down across from her and started eating the food she brought.

They didn't talk while he ate, at least not with words. He gave her a look that usually asked if she spat in his food, she smiled like she had no idea what he was implying. She looked around his sparse apartment and he shrugged to say he didn't need a roommate after seven years in Hogwarts.

Once Clint was done, he cleared the table as she still nursed her tea. She watched him walk around from room to room, looking like he was getting ready to go back out. "Want me to clear out in case you bring your date back here?" She asked as he came out buttoning up a dress shirt with a tie around his neck.

"I'm not that easy of a date 'Tasha, give me some credit." He laughed as he finished his buttoning. She came up to him and turned up his collar before adjusting the length of his tie and started doing a double knot. Once she was finished, she turned his collar down and took a step back.

Natasha gave him a nod of approval but didn't say anything as they stood there in an awkward silence. You obviously break up when one person disappears for a few years but that doesn't mean it's not awkward when they show back up and they see you going out with someone else.

"Clint, I didn't expect you to stay single for the rest of your life. God knows that I didn't." She went to the table, grabbing her cup of tea and moving to the couch to sit there.

He set his jaw at that comment and grabbed his bad that she had sat next to. "Lets save that conversation for another day, okay? You don't have to leave, if you do though, just make sure it's to go back to your place and not to never come back."

She nodded in acknowledgement as he left the apartment, kicking his table as the door shut so he wouldn't notice.

"This is all your fault Dean. You leave your car keys lying around on the kitchen table after I tell you that they both lost their car privileges." Maron was angry. She was seven months pregnant, again, and just had the police drop Natasha and Clint off.

Dean and Yukimi weren't listening at all, they were both inspecting Dean's baby for scratches or any other sign of damage that could have happened when two sixteen year old wizards sneak out with a badass car. "Damn it, I said sorry six times already. Do I need it to say it a seventh time to match your pregnancy month and how many kids you actually have?"

"Hey, we don't have seven kids. We have five." Yukimi hit Dean's arm and gave him a glare. Dean's mistake would cost him a night in the dog house if he wasn't careful. He didn't want to spend the night in the tree house since the couch was occupied by two cats and a dog.

This had all started when Natasha and Clint had gone out to a party the night before. It was the usual rules, be back by midnight and come back together. The usual rules went out the door somewhere along the night and Clint came back by himself at 4 am covered in mud, slamming every door he went through. Natasha showed up after 5am, also covered in mud, followed by Tony Stark, asking where his waffle payment was for picking up Natasha in the middle of nowhere.

A shouting match ensued between Clint, Natasha, Maron and Yukimi while Tony and Dean sat at the kitchen table, eating blueberry waffles and making side commentary on who would win which fight. Needless to say, Clint and Natasha were grounded from going out by themselves unless it was to take any of the younger children anywhere if the adults couldn't, excluding Dean since he doesn't count as an adult.

The next night, Dean had left his keys on the counter after coming back from a burger place, just in time for a game on tv that he and Yukimi had planned on watching. Maron was out for a walk with Yoite and Siobhan, and the younger kids were already in bed. So when Clint and Natasha saw the keys just laying on the table, they decided to finish what they had started the other night.

Four hours later, the police brought back Clint and Natasha, covered in mud, bruises and blood. None of which was on the car luckily; they liked Dean after all, he knew that some times kids needed to go do stupid stuff. Keeping the car safe was their insurance on keeping stupid stuff a secret. They just hoped that the inside of the trunk looked fine.

The police certainly didn't notice it, but the three adults heard the thumping from the trunk. Dean opened it slowly and peaked in, and shut it again, trying not to laugh. Maron pushed him aside and opened it fully to see a teenage boy tied up with duct tape on his mouth.

"Doesn't this remind you of Thobari?" Yukimi laughed as he ripped the tape off the kids mouth quickly, remembering when he and Dean tossed him in the trunk and drove for three hours to a football match.

The boy spewed some curse words as Maron yelled at the house, where Natasha and Clint were watching from a window, pleased as punch about their hard work. "Tell that ass that we catch that ass screwing around again, we'll make sure the police find him." Natasha shouted as she opened the window, ignoring everything Maron said.

Dean and Yukimi gave the boy a look that made him fidget as he worked on getting himself untied. "I heard ya the first time when that bastard knocked me out." he shouted back and glared at Clint who gave a condescending wave.

"I don't want to know what you did to piss our kids off, but you obviously deserved it so just get out of here and go back home." Maron snapped as she went back inside, rubbing her eyes in the process.

Yukimi shot Clint and Natasha a look that said they had to clean out the Impala's trunk first thing in the morning. Once Maron was far away enough, he gave them an 'Alright, you guys won!' look. High fives would come later though, after the lecture.

Once the cats and dog were cleared off the couch and towels were put down for the two mud monsters to sit down on, Maron just looked at them with her best mom face and waited for an explanation.

"It's all because Clint is a jealous prat that this happened. If he hadn't over reacted, I wouldn't have had to deal with that other asshole."

"Maybe you shouldn't flirt with guys who are total douchebags."

"I guess I'll never speak to you again if that's the case."

"Jesus, it's you two all over again" Dean muttered under his breath with a grin.

"She dressed like a tart and I called her on it so she goes and starts chatting up assholes like him."

"If I didn't we wouldn't have noticed him slipping things in to girls drinks. I told Clint and we decided it was our civic duty to do the right thing and kick that guys ass."

"We just got separated along the way last night and finished up business tonight."

The two and a half adults in the room just stared at the mud covered Clint and Natasha for a moment before Dean brought up a point that he thought was valid. "Next time, don't use my car for kidnapping. Steal one, but wear gloves."

Maron erupted and Yukimi tried to calm her down as her and Dean started to argue. They forgot about the two teenagers sitting on the couch and didn't notice them go up stairs to go get cleaned off and go to bed.
