(no subject)

"What's wrong? I don't hear anyone coming?" Natasha asked as Clint pulled away mid makeout session in their usual secluded spot in the library.

"I enjoy making out in the library as much as the set in the next aisle, but I remembered I wanted to ask you something." He said, wiping her lipstick off his mouth. He had been waiting a while to bring the subject up to her, but she always got defensive of changed the subject.

"What is it?" She straightened her hair and fixed her clothes in case anyone walked by. Natasha was very careful to make sure they weren't noticed by any of their classmates or teachers.

Clint ran a hand through his hair and decided to just blurt everything out instead of going for the hinting method this time. "Do you want to go out on a proper date? One that takes place in the village, with date type things."

She pursed her lips as it all came out. She knew it was a matter of time before the subject of a real date got brought up again. The last time it happened, she just left the room and didn't talk to him for two days. "We agreed on no dates, right? This is a low key situation."

He made a frustrated sound. Clint wasn't big on the lovey dovey and hand holding, but he was getting fed up with acting like there was nothing going on. "We're not spies on some secret mission. We don't have to keep anything low key."

Natasha faced a shelf of books and started to pull one out and flipped through the pages, signaling that she was done with the conversation and Clint for the night. He sighed, deciding to cut his losses for the time being. He took a step towards her and kissed the top of her head before walking away.

A few weeks later, the next Hogsmeade visit was going on. Clint left the Gryffindor common room to see Natasha leaning against the wall, waiting for him. She gave him a quick once over and gave him a questioning look. "You're not wearing that on our date."
