Character Information
Name: Katniss Everdeen
Canon Origin/Series: The Hunger Games
School Year: fifth
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Out of school living location: Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire
Blood status: Halfblood

Personality: Katniss Everdeen starts out as a girl who is only concerned with staying alive and making sure her family does as well. She doesn't bother making more than two friends and doesn't bother acting like a sixteen year old girl. Boys? She can beat most of them. Hair ribbon? She has a rubber band for that. Rainbows? Something that existed when her father was alive and she could be carefree and sing songs all day long. Her concern for staying alive never really changes, even when she takes her sisters place as the female tribute for District 12. She knows that she has a chance to win, with her hunting and tracking skills that she used to keep herself alive. Her family and friends mean everything to her, she put her name in extra times, just to get food for her family and keep them alive. She isn't a big fan of kind people, because they get inside fo her easily and could disappoint you. An example is that Peeta's father brought her some cookies before she left to the Capitol and promised to make sure her sister was fed, she ended up throwing them away later, thinking it a ploy to get in her head. She doesn't trust Peeta because he's kind and assumes he has an alternative motive for confessing his love for her, boy is she mistaken. She ended up using his feelings for her as a way to keep them alive later in the games, knowing how to play the crowd in to helping them. It wasn't until the games were almost over that she really began to worry about what would happen if they both won. What would happen to the feelings she faked, or thought she was faking, because he really did end up worming his way in to her heart. That didn't stop her from telling him that she lied about loving him to keep them alive and getting them home.

She's loyal to her friends, or innocent (pet like) people. Her prep team is held captive later on and she finds them in horrible conditions. Even though they were responsible for dressing her up and making her pretty for the games, she knew it was wrong to treat them that way. They were raised that way and didn't know any better. So she took a stand and had them released and helped them adjust to their new life outside of the Capitol.

Later on in the series, she agrees to become the inspiration for the rebellion against the Capitol, even if it means following orders, which she hates and occasionally ditches her timetables. She doesn't like acting a certain way on command and found that she's more inspiring in the heat of the moment when her feelings aren't being faked for a camera. She knows that people died for the rebellion to happen and puts her all in to it.

In a nutshell, she's stubborn, selfish and will do what ever it takes to stay alive.

Canon Background: http://thehungergames.wikia.com/wiki/Katniss_Everdeen

Background (AU!Canon; HP): Katniss Everdeen is a half-blood witch on her Mothers side of the family. She has a younger sister named Primrose, or just Prim. He mother was born in to a family of healers and learned the trade as well. She was expected to take over the family healing business, but she fell in love with a muggle man. Her family didn't understand it, and they knew she had a soft spot for music, something that he was very talented at. She married him and left her family to start her own with a coal miner from Edwinstowe. She gave up her magic during their marriage, and never brought it up to him, not even after their two daughters were born. Katniss was like her father in every way. She liked the wilderness and outdoors, hunting and inherited his gift of music. He taught her everything he knew about the woods, plants and animals.

Katniss had an early happy childhood, at least until her father was killed in a mining accident. She was nine at the time, making her sister four. Their mother went through a complete breakdown after his death, she barely moved and had to be fed and taken care of by her two children. At first Katniss didn't know what what to do after the money from her fathers benefits ran out. A boy from her neighborhood saw that her family was going through a hard time and dropped off a bag of groceries at night, Katniss saw him do it and wasn't able to thank him properly, but it gave her the drive to survive. Her friend Gale taught her how to forge signatures and she was able to sign her mother up for welfare, to keep them alive. After some time though, their mother recovered and slowly started taking care of her children again.

When she was eleven she received her Hogwarts letter and worried about Prim staying at home, even though their mother was getting better. Her friend Gale's mother promised to look after her sister and make sure everything was okay, and that they would write frequently. Once at school Katniss was a loner, not making many friends except for a few, who were also loners. She excelled at Herbology and Care for Magical Creatures, she enjoyed flying and decided to give Quidditch a try.

The summer before her fifth year, her village was attacked by Death Eaters. It was in the early evening and children in the village started to go missing. Katniss and her sister were out for a walk when she noticed them taking children in to the woods. Katniss hid Prim with an invisibility spell, not caring about the rule of underage magic, and told her to run for help and not stop for anything or anyone. Before she could hide herself, she was spotted by the Death Eaters and brought with the other children, in to the woods. They started torturing and killing the children, being all evil and death eatery, but Katniss had her wand and started stunning and ducking behind trees. The Ministry eventually came and scared the Death Eaters away, but not before some of the children were killed in front of her eyes. Some survived and had their memories erased before being sent home, the ministry covered it up with an animal attack. Katniss has regular nightmares about that night and wakes up at night and can't sleep at all occasionally.

How would your character fit in to each House?
Gryffindor: Katniss is full of bravery and self sacrifice for those that she holds dear to her heart. She took her sisters place in the games and threw herself in front of a whip that was meant for Gale. She stands up to people who harm people who can't fight back, or did something because they didn't know better, like her prep team. She knows that only one person will win in the games, but she goes in with courage and the determination to fight as far as she can.

Hufflepuff: Katniss didn't keep herself alive without putting in a lot of hard work. She taught herself to hunt and trade with people to get the most for her family. She doesn't like when people use things against her, like President Snow using Gale's safety to get her to help smother the rebellion, or when he held Peeta captive and had him on tv, showing how he was deteriorating. She's loyal, to a point. When Gale's design for a bomb was used and killed her sister, she knew that there was no way to go back to the way things were before.

Ravenclaw: Katniss is smart, she knows what to do to stay alive and can figure out what the people want to see for a show. She's able to tell the difference on all kinds of wildlife, thanks to her fathers teachings. She was able to figure out that the arena in the 75th games was a clock and everything changed on the hour. She picks up skills quickly, as long as she thinks it's a useful on. She's sarcastic, but only to those she butts heads with, mainly Haymitch, but that's because they are similar in thinking.

Slytherin: If Katniss had a hobby, it would be self preservation. She's resourceful and thinks fast on her feet and will do what it takes to stay alive, even if it means lying to people. She played along with Peeta's feelings to keep them alive and to get sponsors for the games. She didn't like it, but she knew what she had to do. She's not a born leader, but she can get in to the role if forced to do it.

RP Samples:

Prim saved up her allowance and bought this for me for my birthday. She thinks I should make some more friends and talk to people.

I might just use this to put all of my herbology information though, it's more practical that way. If people want to talk to me they can just find me and do it face to face.

So far I've just seen other girls crying about their make up disappearing, I hope it's not always like this.

Third Person Sample:

Katniss couldn't sleep at all last night, she woke up around one am and just lay in bed, looking at the bed posts around her until it was early enough to get up. She wished it had been a night that the Astronomy class was at midnight, that way she could sneak out when they went to the tower. Instead she waited until five and decided it was an okay time to wander the halls and head out to the grounds. She dressed quickly in some old comfortable clothes and headed out of her dorm and through the common room. She didn't see anyone while through the halls, not even Filches cat, who she would have kicked if she had to.

Once she was out on the grounds, she saw one of the House teams out to do practice, but it looked like they were practicing their yawning instead of their flying. She reached the edge of the woods a while later and took a look around, before entering once she was sure that no one was around. She knew not to go in the Forbidden woods, but not all the woods were forbidden, so she took advantage of that. She climbed a tree, making herself a home on a branch and watched some nearby birds.

She dozed off finally, the lack of sleep catching up to her and woke up once she lost her balance on the branch. She managed to catch herself from falling completely, but was still hanging by her arms. She dropped to the ground and figured it was a good time to head back to the castle. It was late enough that students were finishing up their breakfast and most of the good things were gone.

"Katniss! Over here!" Her sisters small voiced called out from the middle of a bench and caught her attention. Katniss smiled happily, in a way only her sister could make her do. There was a plate of untouched food in front of her, knowing her sister would probably have been out and about in the early hours.

Katniss came up behind her and tucked in the back of her sisters shirt while kissing the top of her head. "That looks good, little duck. Did you eat already?"

"I did and I kept yours warm for you. We learned a warming charm yesterday."

Katniss sat down and started to eat her food, encouraging Prim to tell her about her lessons. Before her breakfast was done, she forgot all about her sleepless night and started to look forward to the day.

How did you hear about us?: This guys mom

Character Information
Name: Tess Mercer (Originally born Lutessa Luthor)
Canon Origin/Series: Smallville
Teaching Position and why it suits them: Potions. Tess is a Marine Biologist in canon, but while she was working for Luthor Corp, she worked on researching poisons and viruses.
Suitability: This said IF, so I'm not filling it out since I think she's suitable
Gender: Female
Age: 29
Out of school living location: Kansas
Blood status: Halfblood

Personality: Tess has been described two ways in the series; a Pit-bull in Prada and the ultimate Eco-terrorist. She does things for the greater good, even if the means aren't so friendly. A prime example is that Lex developed a skin graft suit that could make him as powerful as Clark. Lana was undergoing the procedure to get the suit and Tess knew that Lex shouldn't get his hands on the suit. So while Lana was unconscious after the grafting procedure, Tess was willing to kill her and destroy that technology, just so that Lex wouldn't get a chance to use it. Another example is that she blew up Davis Bloome in his car because she found out that he was the Kryptonian serial killer plaguing the city. Tess wasn't always that way though, as a child she dreamed of having a happy childhood and worked hard at school to get out of her home. She taught herself to read and was eventually able to graduate college before turning 18. Once she puts her mind to something, she'll work at it until she gets it done. Tess is the type who wants to be equals with her adversaries. She asked Zod to let her be a partner in a venture and she said no and sent a soldier to kill her, she in turn killed the soldier and sent the dog tags back to Zod to let him know who he was dealing with.

She has a soft side though! When she discovers a child clone of Lex Luthor, she takes him in and raises him in a happy environment, something both kids were denied while growing up. Eventually she realizes that he was regaining the original Lex Luthors memories, but at the same time, slowing dying from rapid aging. She realizes that he's still Lex to the core, and locked him up. He escaped and met up with Lionel, but after ditching him and going back to Tess, she realized that the only way to save him was to kill him and tried to inject him with cyanide, so that he wouldn't become the monster that the original Lex had become. It didn't work because it turned out that he had half of Clark's DNA in him.

Once she joins Clark and Co in the last season, she's a team player, saving the world in some better ways than ones she previously used.

Canon Background: Herpderp

Background (AU!Canon; HP): Sayonara. Lutessa Luthor was the illegitimate daughter of Lionel Luthor and Pamela Jenkins, his sons nanny. When she was nine years old, Lionel made Pamela give her up for adoption, but not before using a memory charm to get rid of her memories of her family. The orphanage she was sent to was run by a witch named Granny Goodness, who was all about training girls to fight. Lionel wasn't having any of that to come back and bit him in the ass at a later date, so he found a couple to adopt Lutessa and that's when Tess Mercer was born. Growing up in the Mercer home wasn't a great experience for the young witch, he adoptive father was abusive to the point of broken bones and rupture ear drums. He never liked her and could tell that there was something strange about her and the whole situation of the adoption. Tess craved a normal childhood, but instead of becoming broke, she persevered and taught herself everything she needed to know without the help of the Mercers. Eventually Tess received a letter to Salem Witches Institute and was glad to have the chance to experience a normal childhood, even if it was at a boarding school. While at school Tess excelled at Herbology and Potions, earning herself a job as a potions researcher once she graduated school. Life wasn't all tea and roses after leaving home behind though, while out on research trip with a co-worker and friend, they were attacked and Tess witnessed the murder of her friend. She was consoled by a Wizard who was also attacked and got them out of there; they started a relationship but it went south and she caught him fooling around with a waitress and didn't bother saying goodbye to Tess. The soft, dreaming of a happy life Tess was gone, she became cold and to the point with life. Tess focused on her career in the potions world, taking jobs and traveling where she needed to for her research. While globe trotting she heard about the position at Hogwarts, and was encouraged by her boss that it might be good for her research to go somewhere else that has such large resources.

The Luthor family in the mean while was a corrupt wizarding family, Lionel doing shady dealings with Dark Wizards to get power for himself. Her older brother Lex wasn't so bad but he eventually turned towards the same life as his father and eventually had him killed. Lex knew about his having a sister though and was the one who gave her the job as a potions researcher. He never told her, but he kept an eye on her, even saving her after a potions explosion, making her grateful towards him and reluctantly agreed to apply at Hogwarts when he suggested it. She's loyal to her unknown brother and would do anything for the man who saved her life and apparently wants to help the world. Livejournal

RP Samples:

I'll get down to the brass tacks, I will be one of your new Professors here at Hogwarts. You'll know me as Professor Mercer; I'm from America, I know what I'm talking about and I do it well. If you have a problem with that, there are multiple ways for you to exit my classroom.

I will be scheduling appointments to meet with all of my students to find out exactly where your strengths and weaknesses are. I expect you all to attend since it counts towards your year end mark.

[Private]

As expected, I had a letter waiting for me when I arrived. Lex wasted no time is sending his research requests. I don't see why we couldn't have done all this work back home.

[/Private]

Third Person Sample:

Tess went over her trunks three times before she was satisfied at how the contents were packed. She could have used a packing spell, but some things just had to be done a certain way. You couldn't put some ingredients next to others or you'd have an explosion on your hands. She had more than enough experience with that to know it was better safe than sorry. Her thoughts turned to her now former employer, Lex Luthor, who saved her from an experiment gone wrong. He was the one who suggested that she apply for the position at Hogwarts, though she'd rather take a job closer to home. He said it would be good for her work, but she knew he was intrigued by what was happening overseas. A wizard who had risen to power and terrorized the country and a little boy who was that same wizards downfall. Tess believed that Lex was just interested in helping the world and making things better for people, and she admired that. So here she was, packing up her life to move across the sea to a place where there was a hunt for dark wizards, a witch hunt in the wizarding world.

"They would be better off if they just killed them all," she said. Tess picked up a copy of an international Wizarding paper, showing pictures of Wizards and Witches being dragged away from their homes. She discarded the paper on to her desk when the clocked chimed that it was time for her to depart. Lex promised to see her off and she didn't want to be late for him.

Character Information
Name: Violet Parr
Canon Origin/Series: The Incredibles
School Year: Fourth
Gender: Female
Age: 14
Out of school living location: London, yes, London. Where else is all the crime fighting? Okay, maybe in Stab city aka Limerick, but I'm going with London. Final answer
Blood status: PUREBLOOD!

Personality:

Violet keeps to herself at the beginning of her canon. She shies away from people at school, even using her invisibility as a means to do it. She likes people though, even having a crush on a boy in school. With her family she's sarcastic and comes off as depressed, this mainly stems from their parents insistence that they all hide their powers and be normal. While going around and acting normal when she isn't is a sore spot for her. Violet actually wants to be normal like other kids, and having to wish she was invisible after something embarrassing happens to her, instead of actually turning invisible. She has little self esteem about herself and keeps her hair covering her face and is constantly seen wearing baggy oversized clothes.

She's not afraid of fighting with her little brother, Dash, because let's face it, little brothers can be dicks when they go all "She would be eating if we were having Tony loaf." She argues with her mom as well, being the main force of wanting them to be normal. She still loves her family, but she still argues with them. She is responsible enough to be left in charge of her brothers, and knows when to call a sitter if her and Dash have to skip out and help save the world. As her father fights more crime and their mother knows something is up, she can tell that there is strain on their marriage and is concerned for them.

Towards the end of the film, Violet grows in to a confident young lady, getting some self esteem and confidence about her powers and abilities. She starts putting her hair back so you can see her face and dressing nicely. She even asks her crush out on a movie date, when only a short while earlier, she just turned invisible and creepily stared at him. With this confidence, she powers grew as well and she was able to create larger shields in the heat of battle to save her family.

Canon Background: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Incredibles

Background (AU!Canon; HP):

Sixteen years ago two Aurors met while on the job, it was a match made in heaven. He was like 'hey this is crazy, but I just met yo-' and she cut him off and said "Get fexible, then owl me maybe.' Robert and Helen Parr were soon married and continued to catch Dark Wizards, until one day Robert blew the statute of secrecy and they had to make some serious life style changes. Robert took an office job in the Auror department and they decided to finally start a family. A year later their frist child was born. Violet Parr was a gifted witch from the get go, she gave her parents a scare a few times by accidently turning invisible at the age of three, it was a stressful week to say the least. Her brother Dash came soon after and was a wizard who loved to show off. As they became older their parents had to explain to them about not using magic in public, it wasn't easy for them to accept though. It was for more than not telling muggles, it was also because their parents were aurors and the wizarding was was going on and no one was safe. Life wasn't getting any easier because Robert couldn't give up the life of an active duty auror. He'd go out with an auror buddy and catch dark wizards in his spare time. It got so bad that they had to start moving once a year. Eventually Violet started growing up and became reclusive because of having to hide the fact that she was a witch. She saw muggle kids having fun and being normal, something she couldn't do but desperatly wanted. Her parents tried to explain but it wasn't much use. The letter to Hogwarts eventually came and she was thrilled, she had a chance to actually use magic around people just like herself. When she got to Hogwarts she had a bit of trouble using magic in front of other people because she wasn't used to it. There was also the problem of her family being pureblood during the war, it was something that Violet didn't vocalize because of the bad reputation purebloods were getting.

How would your character fit in to each House?

Gryffindor: She's a super hero in canon, it screams Gryffindor. She's not so ballsy at the get go, but push comes to shove and she's got what it takes.

Hufflepuff: She's dependable enough to call the sitter when her and Dash sneak on to an airplane to help save their dad.

Ravenclaw:

Slytherin: She's not really driven, except to blend in.

Sample Journal Entry:

Mom really wants us to take a trip to Brighton this summer, but Dad's trying to get out of it. He keeps saying 'what if something happens?' I think she's going to win this time though since she talked to Aunt Honey in to going. If Uncle Lucius is going, dad will go.

I don't really care if we go, it's not like I'm going to have much fun. Dash is bringing a friend, maybe I can too so they won't try to read my journal out loud at dinner.

How did you hear about us?: How didn't I

Character Information
Name: Natasha Romanoff
Canon Origin/Series: Marvel Cinematic Universe
School Year: 3rd
Gender: Female
Age: 13
Out of school living location: Birmingham, UK
Blood status: Muggleborn

Personality:

Natasha is no nonsense and plays hard. That doesn't mean she's a bitch, it means that she's got a serious personality and doesn't go around being silly. She's a spy in canon which means no nonsense and deception. Not all deception is bad though, she currently uses her skills for good, like getting information out of bad guys. She uses her what resources she has, and if it takes a smile and a side glance, you can bet she's doing that to get results. She jumps in to action regardless of if she'll be safe, like questioning Bruce Banner about working with SHIELD and trying to talk him down during a change, it was unsuccessful but she still tried. She keeps a few people close, but still keeps them at a distance. Loki asks her if she loves Clint but she explains that she owes him, nothing more. He's her partner, the right hand to her left hand but that doesn't mean she tells him everything. After she knocked him out and back to the good guys side, she was hesitant to tell him why she was willing to jump in to a war fighting some aliens. He's also her partner, but she didn't hold back any punches when he was possessed by Loki, she knew he would go for the kill, so why shouldn't she? When she argues with people, depending on the situation, she'll just let them do their thing while she does hers. The best example of that is when Happy is driving her to Hammer industries to get Vanko, she tells him to wait in the car but he says no and goes in with her. She figures he'll be safer if he fights one security guard while she takes on the rest of the Hammer security team. Natasha has a bloody past in her canon, she's killed a lot of people and was saved by the people who went out to kill her. She owes SHIELD and Clint big time for that and wants to atone for her past actions. Sure some of those people deserved to die, but not all of them and those are the ones she regrets having killed.

Obviously she's not going to run around killing people in Hogwarts. Natasha will be the kind of girl who does her work to get ahead and take most things seriously. She'll have her SHIELD loyalty transfer over to her House, something she'll stick to and defend.

Canon Background: Her wiki page, The Avengers and Iron Man 2

Background (AU!Canon; HP):
Natasha was born in Volgograd, Russia and adopted by Ivan Petrovitch, a Russian man who moved to traveled mostly after the death of his wife and son. She had always known that she was adopted, but still thought of Ivan as what a Father should be. When she was four, they moved to England, where most of Ivan's business took him. She started to learn to speak English once moving, but still kept up with her Russian. Ivan was fond of cinema and theater and would take Natasha with him. One time they saw a ballet and she declared that she wanted to become a ballerina, Ivan said it would suit her because she was very active and Russians made the best ballerinas in the world. Once she started ballet, she became interested in being active in all kinds of sports, included running, gymnastics and a bit of martial arts.

When Natasha entered muggle primary school, she happened to meet a certain boy by the name of Clint Barton. A few months after meeting they became friends who rarely left the others side. Luckily when they turned ten, they both received letters to Hogwarts and didn't have to worry about going from seeing each other all the time to only on holidays. Ivan decided that Natasha would get her wand from Gregorivich, instead of Olivander, and recieved a Beech wand with a Dragon Heartstring core.

While at Hogwarts, Natasha went right to work, learning anything she could about her new world and how to fit in to it. She adapted quickly, not missing many perks of the muggle world save for being able to take ballet lessons and seeing movies with Ivan. She does well in History of Magic and Transfigurations, and okay in Potions and charms class. She's athletic, but she would rather watch Quidditch than participate in the match.

How would your character fit in to each House?
Gryffindor: Natasha has nerve and bravery. It takes a lot of that to become a spy and put your life in danger for a job. She can step up to the plate when she knows she should, like her deciding to go fight the chitauri when she knows that she's not a soldier. She jumps of a flying alien moter bike to get the job done, even if it doesn't seem like the smartest idea, she she talks herself in to it by saying it'll be fun.

Hufflepuff: Natasha knows how to work hard, she gets her jobs done with it. Her loyalty is only strong with certain people though. She's a spy in canon and your loyalty can only go so far. The people that she trusts though get her full loyalty. She has some tolerance, but that doesn't mean she won't kick your butt if you need it. Even if it looks like she betrayed someone, it's usually for a good cause and the ends justify the means.

Ravenclaw: Natasha is smart, you have to be in order to be as adaptable as she is. She picks up things quickly and retains the information. She has wit and can hold her own against the boys club of snarkyness. She gets her creativity from taking dance lessons when she went to muggle school, you also have to be creative when you're a spy and have to act quick. A good example of that is her ability to get information out of people without actually interrogating them.

Slytherin: Natasha is resourceful and cunning, you have to have those to be a spy and interrogate people. She thinks on her feet and as she goes, ran out of bullets? Grab that alien gun stick and start taking aim. She's not entirely ambitious in the big picture sense but she puts it in to getting good results. She's not very leadery in the MCU, but she has initiative and can get things done when working alone on something.

RP Samples:

Now that I'll be a third year I can finally go to the village. I'm tired of trying to sneak out with the students who can go. Clint, we're going to as soon as they let us, so be ready.

I applied to Elmhurst Ballet school for summer classes, but I'm too young. I'll just find somewhere else that will teach me en pointe. I should have started this already but it's not like Hogwarts has dance class. Speaking of classes, I decided my electives for next year. I'll be taking Ancient Runes and Arithmancy, Muggle Studies is pointless for myself and Divination is a bit childish. It sounds like a bunch of tall dark strangers and shadows behind every corner. I haven't ruled out Care of Magical Creatures though.

Sample two:

Natasha sat perfectly still in the chair as the teacher lectured her. They were new to the school but she saw a manila folder on their desk that looked thick enough to be hers. She had a few instances of detention for unsavory things in her first two years, not to mention her days at muggle school.

"You broke his nose, you know that, right?"

She kept an impassive face as she nodded in agreement. There was no point in denying it since the teacher saw it happen, and she was better than saying he started it. It had started out with comments about how she was always with Clint and they must be dating. When that didn't get a rise out of her it ended with comments about soulless gingers and a remark about matching curtains and drapes, it was the soulless remark that got to her. She was going to do more than break his nose.

"You have a record of getting in to fights. You're a bright girl Natasha and you work hard, if you avoid anymore confrontations until you reach fifth year, you could make Prefect. Not at this rate though, alright?"

She wanted to roll her eyes, but she was pleased that the conversation didn't turn to detention, but something more positive. "I'll try."

The teacher sent her on her way and when she left the classroom she saw Clint waiting for her in the hall. "Keep getting in trouble and you'll get kicked out."

Natasha finally rolled her eyes and just walked passed him and down the nearest stairs. "Who said that I was getting in trouble?"

"The blood trail leading away from the library is a bit of a gossip, you can't keep blood quiet. It's on your knuckles too."

She glanced at her hands before wiping it off with her robe sleeves. "That doesn't mean I was in trouble, so drop it."

"Alright, but don't cry to me when they pack you off."

"Enough! We're not discussing my record anymore, are we clear?"

"Like an invisibility cloak."
